DONATIONS
Angora Gardens is a completely grant and donation funded program managed by UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Mon Yough. The support provided through donations makes a significant impact on the quality of services and sustainability of Angora Gardens, and our mission of helping improve the lives of individuals and families. By investing in MYCS Angora Gardens, you are investing in your community. We have been fortunate to receive support from individuals and foundations that believe in our mission, but we cannot continue to develop our program offerings without the generosity of people like you. We thank you in advance for considering a donation to our program.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT DONATIONS
Check or money order donations may be made payable to Angora Gardens and mailed to 3 Muse Lane, White Oak, PA 15131. Cash donations are accepted in person on-site. You will receive written acknowledgement of your donation.
MEMORIAL GIFT DONATIONS
You can make a gift to Angora Gardens in honor or memory of a friend, family member, or other loved one. Your gift will be acknowledged to the person you are honoring or remembering if possible and upon your request. Memorial gift donations can be financial or physical; consider donating a tree or perennial.
DONATE YOUR TIME
All of the work that is done at Angora Gardens – from greenhouse and landscaping activities, to wellness courses, to site rentals, to community events – would be impossible to complete without receiving grants and the support of our unpaid volunteers. We have a small group of dedicated volunteers that contribute to the mission of our program. In 2017, Angora Gardens was the grateful beneficiary of almost 1,500 volunteer hours. These hours were donated by community members, service recipients, youth service organizations, and MYCS staff.
COMMUNITY EVENT DONATIONS
Annual free community events, from our Easter Egg Hunt to Autumnfest to Holiday Open House, rely on the support of donors. Consider donating raffle items, concession or game supplies, or financially toward overall event expenses.
WORKPLACE GIVING
If your employer participates in a workplace giving campaign, consider designating your pledge toward Angora Gardens. We participate in the United Way of Greater Allegheny’s Donor Choice Program, as well as the Pennsylvania State Employee Giving Campaign.
Many employers also offer Matching Gift Programs. Check with your human resources department to see if your gift to Angora Gardens can be doubled.
